This little guy was just born at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney. Leaf Monkeys (aka Francois' Langurs) are an endangered species native to Northeast Vietnam and Southeast China...
I just googled this species, and the adults are black and white! So, somewhere along the road to maturity, the red of the baby completely changes, which is kind of awesome. Also, it's really striking to see the black and white adults carting around the bright red babies -- very cool. I wonder if there's some evolutionary purpose there or not.
